5 Minute Clinical Consult App Reviews

Very nice reference tool for clinical use. It doesnt have everything but it has most everything thats common.

The app was a champ and for months after my expiration date it worked fine without updating. Then the new version will not let me even look at the old version!!! If I dont want to renew for the current version, I should be able to look at the version I paid for. Should be in iBooks. DONT BUY UNLESS YOUR WORK PAYS FOR IT!!!!

I can not comment on the app because although I paid the $99 for the subscription. I have yet to know how the app actually works. This has so far been the worst user experience. In summary, theyve had my money for the subscription for several days and creating an account just to accesses this "wonderful" app is a mystery to say the least. I purchased this several days ago and have not successfully logged on. Payment has been processed but I had no login information provided for me. I emailed support to ask for it and was given a link to activate my account. The link sends me to a web page and proceeds to say my account is activated but creating a password or username was no where to be found. I finally called support to set up my account. I then tried to access the account and yesterday I had "fun" (sarcastically) trying to have the app download. After numerous timeouts I gave up and tried again today. Now, mysteriously, my account is invalid. RECAP: They have my money and I have yet to utilize what seemed to be a very helpful app. Spending time just to get up and running has not been a pleasant experience and the company should really evaluate is process. Tomorrow, I will try to call support again to find out what the problem is. For almost $100, I would assume a better experience. At this rate I might as well use Web MD or the internet. At least then I can access the information.

Just be aware that this app is NOT free. I checked into this product after other reviewers were claiming that it was so much better than Tarascons reference because of the cost. That was untrue. Apparently, there has also been a price increase for the subscription to $99/year. That seems excessive to me.

I purchased this program, then upgraded my iPhone. Now I cannot get back into the app. Help!!

I had purchased this for my IPod and thought it would be good on my IPad, but I did not find this version as easy to use or informative. I will not purchase this again, but will look at other products such as pepid.

....if you count the 5 minutes to type your login/password EVERY TIME IT LAUNCHES. No renewey next year guys, I cant spend 2 hours per year logging into this thing...especially at that price!

Installed free app only to be told that a it was for sale on ITunes after I tried to sign on as a new customer! Boo! Hiss!

Updated version stole my app. Information no longer available. It is like they stole a book off of my shelf. The are holding it for ransom demanding I pay for it again. When I look up a subject is all I get is blank page. DO NOT BUY! IT WAS ------- Excellent. I have been using the hard bound for 16 years. Great practical reference for family medicine. Patients seem to mind less when I look things up on the iphone the when I bring a book to the room. Worth the money. Unbound should consider a family discount. A family of family medicine providers is a group unto itself.

I am a PA student and I have found this app incredibly valuable during my rotations. I think it would be cool if there were links to the algorithms within the topics that applied to them.

For the price, I would love to see a more comprehensive 5 minute pediatric consult which is included.

I am a RN and a nurse practitioner student. This app was recommended to me from my preceptor, who used it all through his residency. Its very easy and useful, including algorithms and current clinical guidelines. I highly recommend it!

I highly recommend if you are in med school, NP school, or pa school, helps so much with clinical.

A must have for medical providers. One of 3 that I carry on my iPad & iPhone. Use Epocrates & Up-to-date. Would like to see dual access for online use as well. Kind of frustrating having to break out an iPhone when working on a laptop or other computer. I would also like to see the lab feature added to this app. It is the only thing missing from the book.

This is a great app for reliable clinical data and what is needed for a diagnosis. I would give it 5 stars but it cost $99 and will auto renew if I dont opt out by next year. It is a great resource for FNP program
